Indian fest to host Iranian ‘The War Within’

Iranian short film ‘The War Within’ has been selected to compete at the 5th edition of the New Delhi Film Festival (NDFF) in India.

Directed by Javid Farahani, the short film focuses on themes such as capitalism, currency, dollar, the imperialism of the World Bank’s new system, and bourgeoisie.

Also written by Farahani, the cast list of ‘The War Within’ includes Farhad Najafi and Shima Khosh-Eqbal.

‘The War Within’ has been screened at the 74th Salerno International Film Festival in Italy, Archeology Channel Film Festival (TAC) in the US, the Short Film Breaks film festival in Romania, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival in the US, the Kadoma International Film Festival in Japan, the Quito International Film Festival (FICQ) in Ecuador, the Alternative Film Festival (AltFF) in Canada, and the NewFilmmakers New York film festival in the US.

NDFF welcomes talented filmmakers and provides them with an opportunity to showcase their works.

Due to Covid 19, the awards will be announced on March 27.
